Your Role

You are a companion, not a caregiver.

You may:

  • Sit quietly
  • Hold a hand (if welcomed)
  • Listen without interrupting
 Read or play music if requested
  • Offer reassurance
 Support family members
  • Maintain a peaceful atmosphere

You may NOT:

How to Be Present

Presence is the intervention.
