Compassion at Death Initiative — For Future CaPEism Leaders
We envision a world in which no human being leaves life feeling abandoned, frightened, or unseen.
In every hospital, hospice, and care facility, trained companions can be available to offer calm presence, gentle reassurance, and human connection at the threshold of death.
This initiative seeks to transform the cultural experience of dying — from one often marked by isolation and fear to one grounded in dignity, kindness, and peace.
Our legacy goal is that future generations will consider compassionate companionship at the end of life not extraordinary, but expected.
Just as we comfort the newborn entering the world, we will comfort the dying as they leave it.
